Frequently asked questions

Is there a session fee?

Yes, there is a session fee, it is $100 and it is non-refundable. The session fee must be added to the above print packaging fees.

The fee can,  however, be transferred but the session must be completed within 30 days  of the original booking. The fee must be paid within 7 days of booking  to secure your date.

The $100 fee covers a photographic session for up to 5 people.  For each extra person, please add $10.00. The session will last between  one and two hours.

Printing costs are not covered in this $100.00 fee.

Is there a minimum amount of prints that I need to purchase?

Yes, you need to purchase at least $300.00 worth of prints. In total, your session and prints will cost you a minimum of $400.00

What should I expect?

Sessions shouldn’t be rushed, they should be FUN! Don’t try and get the kids to do the “smile for Kate” face – relaxed kids equals fun, natural photos.

What should we wear?

Make sure the outfits you choose are a reflection of how you feel. That said, keeping it simple with denim shorts or jeans and T-  shirts makes it pretty easy on the eyes.

As long as you try and avoid dateable clothing such as The Simpsons, Barbie, High School  Musical etc. then most will be fine. A change of clothes is always a good option (but not necessary)! Bright is good! Vintage is delicious.

You may also choose to bring along a prop (if you like). For  instance, if one of you loves playing the guitar or if your little one  has a special toy or blanket, feel free to bring it and we will try  and incorporate the item for memories sake. Anything interesting, quirky and special makes for great photography.

Where should we have our photos taken?

Locations can be almost anywhere! So many places can make  great locations – the beach, skate park, paddock, train line, city  street, alleyway, your place… anywhere that is special to you!

The most important thing is the right kind of light. For outdoor  shoots, this generally means later in the afternoon but we can generally  work around your schedule – however midday sun is a no go!

Can I choose which photos I’d like?

Of course! Within two weeks of your session, you will be able to view your photos in a private, online gallery.

Access to your gallery will be available for 7 days only. Once you have ordered your photos, please allow up to three weeks for delivery.
