Week #28 – I Heart Faces Challenge = Feet
This week at I Heart Faces it isn’t about Faces at all – it is all about FEET. I love a good foot shot and have a few that I could have chosen but I went for the one below because I just love the composition and the colours.
My son, Zed Boy (who is the daredevil out of my three) was climbing on an old wooden train bridge just a couple of weeks ago while we were on holiday at the beach. This photo is of him sitting at least 10 feet in the air on a large wooden beam.
I love his big ‘hoofer’ dangling in front of my lens and I love that you can see his face in the background along with the beautiful blue winter’s sky.
I am also really happy with this as I took it with my old manual lens – Pentax Asahi SMC 50mm 1:1.7. I am endeavouring to take all of my photos with this lens now as I love the feel of this old glass and ‘stopping’ down (or up). I feel more in control for some reason. This photo is basically straight out of the camera bar a little lightening with curves.
Don’t forget to go along to the I Heart Faces website and see all the other wonderful FEET entries and leave them some comments – because comments are FUN! To give AND receive!

Newer Comments →Phenominal depth of field!!! Love this shot:) Very unique!
There are lots of dirty feet this week.
Great DOF control
I love this for all the same reasons you do. Great shot!
It really is a fun shot. great choice for the theme.
have a happy week.
Great, great photo. I know I said on my blog that only baby feet are cute, but his feet are actually pretty cute too!
This has such a cool perspective and I love how the foot is truly the focus of the photo.
I <3 this! i love the bright colors!
I love this. The color and depth of field are enormous. Great job!
Nice colors… and great DOF as well! Just a wonderful photo all around! Thanks for sharing!!
AWESOME!
I love this. The composition and DOF are fantastic!! Great colours too.
This is possibly another of my favourites
The composition and colours are awesome. There is something about sandy feet. Handsome subject too
That is an AMAZING photo. I love everything about it. Especially the depth of field.
I applaud your skill at keeping that child verruca free… my kids feet are probably best saved for medical sites. If we had feet like this feet wouldn’t freak me out, but I would have looked very uncool in the 1980s
))
Ba ha ha! I had to look up the word Verruca only to find out you are talking about Plantar Warts. Well, funny thing is – this is the only child of mine who has ever had one! Thankfully, that was a while back though – nasty things!
Oh and when I read Verruca – I thought of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too! Am I crazzzy???
I LOOOOVE the perspective in this shot! Very nice!
PERFECT foot shot for this week’s theme! I love the bits of sand stuck to his feet.
Great shot.
Great shot! Love the angle
Fun shot!
SOOC…beautiful.
That is an awesome perspective!!
awesome! I love your wide aperture on this – squarely puts the attention on the foot, while telling the story in the “background” with great depth of focus!!
love this angle/depth! great job!

I love everything about this shot!! Awesome!
LOVE it!
Not crazy – Verruca Salt is named for this plantar wart you speak of – really annoying and virtually impossible to get rid of
What a fun shot! Love the colors!
Great shot, love the colours!
Love the angle on this!
You’re right–I love the perspective and the beautiful blue sky you’ve captured!
