I Heart Faces – Fix It Friday #21

As a recent convert to the fab Blog “I Heart Faces”, this is my first attempt at ‘Fix-it Friday’.
I use Photoshop CS3.
The photo is of a handsome young man – I think it is such a good photo to start off with! There is not much to fix really, so I just played around with a few of my favourite actions some from the wonderfully talented Sheye Rosemeyer. Each action I used, I fiddled and tweaked to get just what I wanted. Then I made a totally cool (well I think so!) story board that I think would look great on a wall – a bit pop art-ish but not as good!!
Don’t forget to head on over to I Heart Faces to see many wonderful ‘fixes‘!

I loved your 3rd (love the square crop too!) and 4th (love the head tilt!) options. I need to figure how to tilt images. I honestly don’t know how, but it would be so useful! Good job!
Hi Kellie – if you use Photoshop – the way I do it (now there is probably a better ‘proper’ way’ is to duplicate the layer, then turn off the background layer. Make sure you are on the new layer and then go to Edit > Transform > Rotate and rotate it as much or as little as you like. Press enter to finish the transform. Finally, you will need to crop down to get rid of the blank area of canvas and voila! Done! Easy peasy! Now if you don’t use Photoshop – I have no idea! lol
What fun ideas you did!… I really LOVE the black and white (eye candy action one)… fabulous work!
I really like the rounded edges because it gives it a retro feel and for some reason this picture reminded me a little of Austin Powers. Just the suit and the expression and the hands on his chin. I also like the story map with the colorization. I think this would make a great poster.
I love all of them! Great job…the B/W is my favorite.
BTW, I love how your blog comment boxes look, I would love to know how to do that!
Thanks Mariana! I love the blog comment ‘speech bubbles’ too. I don’t know how it is done but I will ask my web guy who set up my whole website/wordpress bloggy thing – he happens to be my soon-to-be 15year old son so to extract the info from him should be well, easy! lol
I love the second photo (your first edit, with the rounded corners). It’s lovely!
You’re just trying to make us jealous with all your great actions.
I love how fun you made this fix-it. I can’t believe this is your first time participating. Hope you keep joining in on the fix-it fun!
Ha! Did the jealousy thing work??!!! Pity I can’t claim the brilliance – but the wonderful Sheye Rosemeyer can! Check her out if you can. Her work is divine!
Cool pop-art! I always think when there is nothing much wrong with a picture it’s fun to go funky

love pale and interesting!
Oooh I like the tilt crop – it works. I think my favourite “recipe” is probably the second one. This was a great “fix” to work with wasn’t it? Nothing needed “fixed”
Lots of great edits! Each one is unique and I really like the slight tilt!
I love the third edit best! Thanks for stopping by Reflections Of Me
I really like your tilt crop. Lots of great ideas from you. Thanks!
yes! i really like the last one! they are all good, but the last one is cool :O)
thanks for your comments on my post
I really like the 3rd one as well. This photo lends itsef nicely to black and white. And I love your last storyboard. I must learn how to do that.
Thanks for stopping by. I was looking through your blog. You do beautiful work. How did you like Sheye’s Explore class? I am on the waiting list.
Awesome! I love all of the edits!
The first edit is just perfect! Nice ones!
All of your edits are great, but I love the honeychild & tilted version.
Wow. I LOVE your edits. Look at you with all of your choices. That is just awesome. I am so glad you found I heart Faces and are participating so whole heartedly : ). It’s so fun to see your enthusiasm!
I really like how you edited the picture.
Great edits! I love the Pretty Gritty, Lemon Fresh Overlay and then Cropped one, it has a great antique feel to it.
