Celebrate Good Times – Come On!
On the 18th of June, we celebrated my daughter’s 11th birthday with some family friends…and on Sunday the 21st, she had a birthday party with 7 of her closest pals…
Here are some photos of her two special days.
I love this Black and White shot of her – it is actually a crop of one of the Birthday hat shots. With this black and white, I used some of Sheye’s Eye Candy Actions… Pretty Gritty with Lemon Fresh over the top. Probably my favourite Eye Candy combinations.

This birthday hat has become a tradition in our home. It belongs to our neighbour {the kids surrogate grandma}. She is 79 and makes us all wear this hat on our birthdays. It can be fun!

The Pinata Cake you see below was the cake that Zed boy and I made for her ‘friend’ party. It was tricky and don’t look too closely at all the cracks and bumps, but she loved it as did her friends and the rest of us!
We didn’t have a toy hammer (you are meant to crack it open with one) so I got the next best thing – my old Rolling Pin. Only took a couple of whacks and it opened to reveal a treasure of Golden Coins and Jelly snakes – all the children were in awe!
If you want to know how to make one – just google Pinata Cake – there are plenty of recipes/instructions out there….
